Cast Iron 101: Care, Seasoning & Skillet Cooking
Unlock the full potential of kitchen’s most versatile workhorse! In this hands-on workshop, we’ll demystify everything you need to know about cast iron cookware. You’ll learn how to pick out the right skillet, season it from scratch, clean it properly (yes, you can use soap!), and re-season it after cooking so it lasts for generations. Once you’ve mastered skillet care, we’ll put these heavy-duty pans to work creating an incredible, user-friendly menu from high-heat searing to skillet baking. Grab an apron and discover why cast iron makes every meal taste better!

What To Expect: In our classes you’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.
- You will work with other students in groups of 4, sharing workstations and equipment.
- Classes are 2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
- Hands-on classes are limited to 12-16 students
- You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
- Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
