Oktoberfest Feast: A Hands-On German Culinary Celebration! 🥨

Prost! Dust off your lederhosen and get ready to celebrate Oktoberfest right in the kitchen! In this fun, hands-on cooking workshop, you’ll master the art of classic German comfort food—no trip to Munich required.

Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned home cook, our chef instructor will guide you step-by-step as we chop, sear, roll, and bake a traditional Bavarian feast from scratch. You’ll learn essential culinary techniques, balance warm, comforting spices, and enjoy a delicious meal you made with your own hands.

🍽️ On the Menu:

  • Main: Crispy Pork Schnitzel with Lemon & Caper Herb Butter

Learn the secrets to achieving a perfectly golden, crispy breadcrumb crust on tenderized pork cutlets, finished with a bright, pan-seared caper-herb butter sauce.

  • Side 1: Warm Bavarian Potato Salad (Bayerischer Kartoffelsalat)

Ditch the mayo! Master this classic warm potato salad tossed in a rich, savory bacon-mustard vinaigrette with fresh herbs and a gentle tang.

  • Side 2: Soft & Chewy Hand-Twisted Bavarian Pretzels

Get your hands in the dough! Learn the art of yeast hydration, dough kneading, and hand-twisting your own golden-brown pretzels, served warm with rich beer-cheese dip.

  • Dessert: Spiced Apple Strudel (Apfelstrudel) with Vanilla Cream

Wrap up the evening on a sweet note! Learn how to create a spiced cinnamon-apple filling tucked into delicate, buttery pastry layers and baked until golden.

What To Expect: In our classes you’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

  • You will work with other students in groups of 4, sharing workstations and equipment.
  • Classes are 2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
  • Hands-on classes are limited to 12-16 students
  • You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
  • Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
  • We will serve water, soda or 2 glasses of wine with your meal.

Mis En Place recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please check with Mis En Place Cooking Studio before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.
