Pass the Plate: A Friendsgiving Small Plates Soirée

Why commit to a giant, 20-pound turkey and a six-hour marathon in the kitchen when you can share a festive parade of bite-sized holiday comfort? In this hands-on class, we’re flipping the traditional Thanksgiving script. You’ll master an array of elegant, shareable small plates and seasonal apps that pack all the rich, cozy flavors of the big day into fun, finger-friendly portions. Grab a drink, mingle around the kitchen, and learn how to host the ultimate Friendsgiving tapas party.

What we will make:

Cranberry-Bri Crostini with fresh rosemary and toasted pistachios
Prosciutto & Fig Butter Toasts Drizzled with Wild Thyme Honey
Turkey Meatball Bites glazed in a spiced orange-cranberry reduction
Caramelized Onion & Gruyère Dip: Sweet slow-cooked onions folded into a rich, creamy base of cream cheese and nutty Gruyère, topped with fresh thyme.
Bacon Wrapped Dates Stuffed with creamy blue cheese
Spiced Gingerbread Brownie Bites

What To Expect: In our classes you’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

  • You will work with other students in groups of 4, sharing workstations and equipment.
  • Classes are 2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
  • Hands-on classes are limited to 12-16 students
  • You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
  • Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
  • 2 glass of red or white wine for dinner.

Mis En Place recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please check with Mis En Place Cooking Studio before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.
