Baking Workshop: Perfect Pies for Thanksgiving

Get ready to conquer your Thanksgiving dessert table with confidence! In this hands-on Baking Workshop, you’ll learn the essential secrets to crafting flaky, golden pie crusts and incredibly delicious, classic holiday fillings. Our expert bakers will guide you through every step, ensuring your Thanksgiving pies are the absolute stars of the show. We’ll start the morning right with a light breakfast bakery spread and your choice of coffee or espresso drinks upon arrival, so you’re fueled up for some serious baking! We will also serve a light lunch with a glass of wine while we bake!

On the Menu:

  • Classic Flaky Pie Crust: Master the fundamental technique for a tender, buttery crust that’s the perfect foundation for any pie.
  • Decadent Mini Pecan Pies: Learn to create a rich, gooey, and nutty classic, complete with a perfectly set filling and a golden crust.
  • Creamy Mini Pumpkin Pies with Spiced Whipped Cream: Discover the secrets to a smooth, perfectly spiced pumpkin filling and learn to make your own aromatic whipped cream for topping.
  • Salted Caramel Apple Crumb Pie: A unique and irresistible twist on the traditional, featuring tender apples, a luscious salted caramel swirl, and a buttery crumb topping.

What To Expect: 

In our classes you’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

  • You will work with other students in groups of 4, sharing workstations and equipment.
  • Classes are 2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
  • Hands-on classes are limited to 12-16 students
  • You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
  • Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
  • We will serve water, soda or 1 glasses of wine or with lunch

Mis En Place recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please check with Mis En Place Cooking Studio before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.
