Date Night: An Evening in Amalfi

Escape to the sun-drenched shores of the Italian coast without ever leaving the studio! Join us for a romantic, flavor-packed date night where we bring the vibrant magic of the Amalfi Coast straight to your plate. Known for its soaring cliffs, lemon orchards, and spectacular seafood, Amalfi cuisine is all about letting fresh, high-quality ingredients shine.

In this hands-on class, you and your partner will cook side-by-side, master classic Mediterranean techniques and balancing bright, coastal flavors. Pour yourself a drink, turn up the music, and let’s recreate the ultimate Italian seaside dinner date. Salute!

 The Coastline Menu

  • The Antipasto: Blistered Tomato & Burrata Crostini Charred summer tomatoes tossed with garlic, cold-pressed olive oil, and fresh basil, served over grilled rustic bread and topped with creamy, decadent burrata cheese.
  • The Main Course: Pan-Seared Shrimp over Linguine al Limone Perfectly seared, garlicky shrimp nestled over a bed of al dente bronze-cut linguine, tossed in a silky, vibrant sauce of fresh Amalfi lemon zest, cracked black pepper, white wine, and shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano.
  • The Contorno (Side): Crispy Lemon-Herb Roasted Potatoes Golden, crispy-edged baby potatoes tossed with fresh rosemary, garlic, and a squeeze of charred lemon juice.
  • The Dolce: Amalfi Coast Lemon-Almond Cake A wonderfully moist, gluten-friendly traditional flourless cake bursting with sweet citrus flavor, finished with a dust of powdered sugar and fresh berries.

What To Expect: In our classes you’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

  • You will work with other students in groups of 4, sharing workstations and equipment.
  • Classes are 2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
  • Hands-on classes are limited to 12-16 students
  • You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
  • Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
  • We will serve water, soda or 2 glasses of wine with your meal.

Mis En Place recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please check with Mis En Place Cooking Studio before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.
