French Bistro Classics
Step into the heart of a Parisian bistro without leaving town! Join us for a hands-on, luxury cooking class dedicated to mastering the timeless classics of French cuisine.
Upon your arrival, you’ll be greeted with a stunning charcuterie and cheese platter, a perfect start to our culinary journey. As you settle in, you’ll get a preview of the exquisite dishes we’ll be preparing from scratch.
In this class, you will learn the secrets behind three iconic French dishes:
- Baked Brie with Fig Jam and Toasted Baguette: Discover how to transform simple ingredients into a warm, gooey, and elegant appetizer that will impress any guest.
- Coq au Vin with Pommes Dauphinoise: Master the art of this rustic French staple, simmering tender chicken in a rich red wine sauce. You’ll learn the proper techniques for building deep, complex flavors. We’ll pair this with a creamy, golden Pommes Dauphinoise, a heavenly gratin of thinly sliced potatoes layered with cream and cheese.
- Classic Crème Brûlée: Finish the evening by creating the perfect dessert. We’ll guide you through the process of making a silky custard and, of course, the thrilling moment of brûléeing the sugar topping to a crisp, golden perfection.
To complement your handcrafted meal, you will receive two glasses of exquisite French wine, thoughtfully paired with your dishes to enhance every flavor.

What To Expect:
 In our classes you’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.
- You will work with other students in groups of 4, sharing workstations and equipment.
- Classes are 2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
- Hands-on classes are limited to 12-16 students
- You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
- Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
Mis En Place recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please check with Mis En Place Cooking Studio before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.
