The Mother’s Day Bistro: A Hands-On Brunch
Celebrate Mom in the most delicious way possible—by cooking together! This special brunch workshop is designed for families to gather at the chef’s table and master the art of the perfect mid-morning feast. From whisking up light-as-air batters to mastering the perfect savory sauté, you’ll learn professional “Bistro” techniques that will make every Sunday feel like a celebration.
The Bistro Menu:
- The Starter: Seasonal Fruit & Ricotta Crostini with Honey Drizzle
- We’ll start by toasting artisanal baguette slices and topping them with whipped lemon-ricotta, fresh seasonal berries, and a sprig of mint. A great lesson in balancing textures and flavors!
- The Main: Savory Spring Vegetable & Gruyère Frittata Bites
- Master the art of the perfect egg dish. Guests will sauté seasonal asparagus and leeks before whisking together a fluffy, cheesy custard. You’ll learn the “stove-to-oven” technique for a perfectly golden finish.
- The Side: Crispy Maple-Glazed Peppered Bacon
- Learn how to candy bacon in the oven! We’ll coat thick-cut slices in a sweet and savory glaze of maple syrup and cracked black pepper for the ultimate brunch side. (Chef to Demo)
- The Sweet: Lemon-Blueberry Crepe with Vanilla Whip Cream
- A Bistro showstopper! Instead of traditional pancakes, we’re making delicate crepes stuffed with lemon blueberry compote. You’ll learn how to whip air into the batter and make homemade whipped cream to top it off. Chef will make the compote ahead of time and talk you though how it was made so you can focus on the crepe.
