Valentine’s Date Night: Beyond the Reservation: Master the Art of the Steakhouse Date Night
Ignite the romance this Valentine’s Day by skipping the crowded restaurant and stepping behind the line in our kitchen. In this intimate, hands-on “Date Night” session, you and your partner will learn the professional techniques behind a high-end steakhouse dinner.
From achieving the perfect crust on a premium cut of beef to mastering the legendary “lava” flow of a molten cake, you’ll work together to create a multi-course masterpiece. Our instructors will guide you through the science of searing, the secret to steakhouse-style sides, and the art of elegant plating. Pop a cork, put on an apron, and prepare for a Valentine’s meal you’ll never forget.
The Menu
- Appetizer: The “Mise” Wedge Salad – Crisp iceberg hearts topped with heirloom cherry tomatoes, pickled red onions, crispy pancetta, and a handcrafted Gorgonzola peppercorn dressing.
- The Main: Butter-Basted New York Strip – Pan-seared and finished with garlic, fresh thyme, and foaming butter for that classic steakhouse finish.
- Side Dish 1: The “Legendary” Creamed Spinach – Our tribute to Ruth’s Chris; a rich, velvety blend of chopped spinach, béchamel, and a hint of nutmeg.
- Side Dish 2: Garlic & Chive Smashed Yukon Golds – Golden potatoes whipped with roasted garlic and finished with fresh garden herbs.
- The Finale: Dark Chocolate Molten Lava Cake – Served vanilla ice cream and fresh berries.
What To Expect: In our classes you’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.
- You will work with other students in groups of 4, sharing workstations and equipment.
- Classes are 2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
- Hands-on classes are limited to 12-16 students
- You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
- Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
- You will get with your meal:2 glasses of wine or water/soda
