Vietnamese Street Food Festival: A Hands-On Culinary Journey

Transport yourself to the bustling, aromatic streets of Vietnam in this vibrant, hands-on cooking class! Discover the fresh, flavorful, and incredibly aromatic essence of Vietnamese cuisine. You’ll learn to balance the sweet, sour, salty, and spicy elements that make these dishes so addictive, mastering essential techniques to recreate these authentic street food favorites in your own kitchen.

On the Menu:

  • Fresh Spring Rolls (Gỏi Cuốn) with Peanut Dipping Sauce: We’ll start by mastering the art of rolling these iconic, translucent rolls packed with fresh herbs, crisp vegetables, tender shrimp, and vermicelli, perfectly complemented by a rich and savory homemade peanut dipping sauce.
  • Crispy Imperial Rolls (Chả Giò): Learn the secrets to perfectly crispy, golden-fried spring rolls filled with a savory mixture of pork, glass noodles, and mushrooms, served with the classic nước chấm dipping sauce.
  • Classic Bánh Mì Sandwiches: Assemble your own legendary Vietnamese baguette sandwich! We’ll focus on crafting the flavorful fillings, quick-pickled vegetables (do chua), and savory pâté spread that make this sandwich an international sensation.
  • Bún Chả (Hanoi-Style Grilled Pork with Vermicelli): Discover the smoky, savory flavors of grilled marinated pork patties and tender pork belly, served with a refreshing bowl of rice vermicelli noodles, fresh herbs, and a tangy dipping broth.
  • Vietnamese Iced Coffee (Cà Phê Sữa Đá): End our culinary adventure with this iconic, robust, and sweet pick-me-up – a truly authentic taste of Vietnamese street culture.

What To Expect:

 In our classes you’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

  • You will work with other students in groups of 4, sharing workstations and equipment.
  • Classes are 2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
  • Hands-on classes are limited to 12-16 students
  • You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
  • Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
  • We will serve water, soda or 2 glasses of wine or with your meal


Mis En Place recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please check with Mis En Place Cooking Studio before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.
